All the seeded teams besides the defending National Champion and one seed, UCLA, will play in the tournament's second round. UC-Irvine upset the Bruins in the first round. The Anteaters scored in the 86th minute and held off the Bruins in the final minutes. This is the third consecutive season UCI defeated a seeded team in the tournament's opening round - beating USC in 2022 and UCLA in 2021.
